It is indeed sad. Unfortunately they are putting profits over consumers. Management told me that they make more on Baron Herzog because the price is higher, therefore profits are higher on each bottle. They figure you will buy it because it’s kosher and they can get more profit per square foot (or inch) on the shelf. They have indeed forgotten what their mission is and have given up a unique product in the market. It is a shame. I personally am going to write to TJ’s to see if we can get this wine back in the stores. At some point I hope they will listen. SK

I found a link to Terrenal Wine Fans on Facebook. You can complain to TJ’s by clicking the “Contact Us Button”. https://www.facebook.com/TerrenalWineFans/

I was told last month by a TJ employee in Framingham that Terrenal had stopped producing the two kosher wines (Tempranillo and Malbec) they had been carrying. Not sure if he was fibbing or had been fibbed too. Whatever the case, it’s a shame those wines aren’t carried at TJ anymore. The new affordable kosher red (Givon) is less affordable and less good. Shame.

Trader Joe’s NYC stores sell TERRA VEGA (Mevushal Kosher) Cabernet Sauvignon (dry red) & Sauvignon Blanc (dry white) for $6.99 + tax. Both are fantastic, and most agree they taste better (smoother) than Terrenal or Herzog. TERRA VEGA also makes a fabulous Syrah & Carmenere, both Mevushal, as well. Everyone reading this needs to call your local TJ’s and ask them to sell TERRA VEGA wines in your area. You won’t miss the Terrenal if you try TERRA VEGA, trust me!
